HP’s New DreamScape Allows Facebook And Pandora With Your Albums

Music, Photos, and Social Media!

HP DreamScapeWe’ve all had those family photos framed-up and displayed throughout our households. One for each of the precious memories in our lives, but, that’s about it. The picture frames our moms were accustomed to were rather one-dimensional and boring…just sitting there, doing it’s sole job. Even the more recent digital frames are still pretty limited in their capabilities. Well, the new HP DreamScape aims to change all of that.

HP DreamScapeThe HP Dreamscape comes in two flavors: the DreamScape 100 (with a 10.2″ Screen), and the DreamScape 130 (with a 13.3″ Screen). Personally, I think the size is ideal for kitchen counters and coffee tables. Instead of cluttering up Fridge-doors with photos, you can stream the photos along with music (including album art), so you’ll have a dynamic–constantly changing–slideshow of your family and friends via it’s really great interface.

Both have 2GB of built-in storage, and all the assorted connectivity for pulling in photos from a camera, drive or PC wirelessly (802.11b/g), or via a Network. They also have a combo flash card reader and USB connectivity for even more room. DreamScape’s device Software is feature rich, including photo-sharing site Snapfish, which is owned by HP, Pandora Internet radio station, and social network Facebook.

HP DreamScapeBeyond the in-depth photo options, you can also enjoy access to thousands of artists and music albums via the popular Internet service Pandora, where users can have direct access to their Pandora Accounts and saved custom Radio Stations. If that’s not enough for you audio lovers, HP’s own SmartRadio gives you access to more than 10,000 radio stations of live Internet broadcasts around the world. You can listen to your favorite radio stations on the Internet by location or genre in any part of your home.

If all of those overwhelming features haven’t attracted you yet, the access to your Facebook and SnapFish accounts, while checking the date, time and weather should. By selecting the Facebook icon, users can stay up to date with their social networks while away from their computers. Friends’ status updates, photos and upcoming events can all be viewed in real time, as well as access SnapFish albums from your friends and family.

You can prepare for and organize your day with access to five-day weather forecasts for cities around the world and view your calendar. The built-in clock feature can show time in digital or analog format with dual time-zones and lets users choose tones or music for alarms.
